25 Nov Strengthening technology transfer in Europe
Conference on Technology Transfer was held from 17 to 19 November 2021, organized by the Joint Research Center of the European Commission and the AREA Science Park. The conference was held in a hybrid format – online and in Trieste.
The aim of the conference is to exchange best practices and accelerate technology transfer, one of the most complex and risky steps in the innovation process, in the Western Balkans and Southeast Europe.
During the conference, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with key technology transfer tools, patent and market data platforms, the design of an innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem and opportunities for financial support. The last day of the conference was especially dedicated to the topic of maximizing the potential of technology transfer agreements and gathered entrepreneurs and researchers with the aim of exchanging experiences and recommendations for building and strengthening the capacity of technology transfer.
One of the participants in the Conference was the director of the Center for Technology Transfer of the University of Belgrade, Dr. Nedeljko Milosavljevic. Dr. Milosavljević, among other things, used the opportunity to exchange significant experiences with the participants of the Conference and present the DanubePeerChains project. Participants learned more about the activities within this project and plans for further implementation and agreed on its importance in the field of digitalization of business and the creation of new opportunities for experts in the field of digitalization. It was pointed out that the project will strengthen experts from the countries of the Danube region and make the whole region more competitive and attractive for new collaborations and innovative projects.
